Rear lights
(Preview)
For those interested, Holden now have Peerless rear lights back in stock at a slightly eye watering £230.00 plus VAT and carriage. I've just bought 2 so needless to say, I'm feeling a little weak at the knees right now.

Rubber things built to BS3704 quality standard.
(Preview)
Well, here we are again. Was running the car up the drive at the weekend (under it's own power!) and it was obvious that something was moving around rather more than it's supposed to. Lo and behold, an engine mount has come apart. Now this is a "heavy duty" part from one of our suppliers of thi...

Rear leaf springs
(Preview)
Having been lucky enough to get my hands on a pair of nos leaf springs for the Peerless, I'm planning on refurbishing them before starting the long awaited re-build. Has anyone undertaken this task in the past and, if so, did you grease between the leafs? I know that some springs are assembled dry and...

Handbrake
(Preview)
Help!! For the life of me I can't figure this handbrake out. I have a cable with cover which goes from the left wheel cylinder to the right one. Cover stops bolt to the DeDion tube each side, but the cable turns in a u shape, then has a frayed end about 6" from the right wheel cylinder. I also have a pair o...

Negative camber adjustable fulcrums.
(Preview)
The stop-start resto of Peerless is about to take another small step forward with the rebuild of the front suspension and in doing so, I wondered about the benefits of an adjustable upper fulcrum kit to provide a degree or two of negative camber. Has anyone any experience of the kits provided by Reving...

Hi Torque Starters
(Preview)
Does anyone have experience of fitting a Hi-torque starter to a Peerless? I'd like to put one in but given it's a bit tighter in a Peerless than a TR3, I thought I'd ask before dropping the money. dave

Door and rear window seals?
(Preview)
Does Woolies carry the original door seal? I couldn't match the trashed ones on Phase 1 #00123 with their web page. Nothing similar from Moss or Roadster Factory here in the US either. My car had same seals on doors as rear window. Car should be ready for the road this month (I hope). Will send pics.

Diff carrier frame
(Preview)
I think I tried this before but met with no sucess so I'll give it a go again. Basically, I need to re-manufacture the diff carrier frame as mine was lost some time ago. I'm referring to the triangular frame that sits below the diff and connects to the chassis at 3 points. I did have a technical drawing with...

Door glass runners update
(Preview)
I've been reliably informed by a reader about the origins of the PW door glass runners. Having made a pair from scratch as featured in the mag recently, he got in touch with the info. Furthermore, the specialist involved should have a stall at Beaulieu Autojumble this weekend. Fingers crossed I can c...

Windscreen seals and trims
(Preview)
Hi Folks, Looking for help - can anyone tell me the part numbers to order windscreen seal and the matching silver filler strip from Woolies? Our seals seem OK, but the trim strips have gone black, so I want to replace those and may get some seal material at the same time, just in case... Thank you! Nick

Reverse Lamp
(Preview)
I am starting to hook up gauges and do final wiring on #216. I don't seem able to find a reverse lamp in loom. I assume one just wires separately back to it? -- Edited by Steve on Thursday 10th of July 2014 03:27:56 AM

Front spot and fog lamps

I'm trying to determine the correct front auxiliary lamps as fitted to the Le Mans car. Lucas base mounted on a bracket, judging from the pics I have seen of Ken's car. Inner rear arch panels
(Preview)
I'm cracking on with repairs to all four inner rear arch panels. Question: How should (best way, rather than original!) the rear inner arch panels be secured to the inner wing? Bonded in? Screwed onto brackets and then sealed? Solutions most appreciated. All the best, Gary

Rear ride height
(Preview)
The back of #118 rides very low indeed, and while I know that they're all low, it's increasingly noticable. It's definately dropped a little as the tailpipe scrapes slightly leaving the garage recently. The leaf springs look pretty flat and i suspect i will need to replace/refurbish them. Ground...

We're starting the interior restoration of #00123 to be close to original and need information on what material to use on the package shelf behind the rear seats. Boot/trunk lid
(Preview)
The boot lid on #118 has become loose where the hinge arm meets the lid itself, as in the picture. I've tried tightening in the screws, but without success. It moves enough to give me concern that the lid might pop open going over a small bump. Does anyone know what lurks within the fiberglass? I was...
