Does anyone know the number (or rough number) of Peerless GT's that are remaining (phase 1,2 and Warwick). I am aware that there were roughly 325 cars built, but I get asked often how many are remaining.
Its not a definite science as when people sell a resto project that they may have had for years they don't always get in touch and the older generation dont always think there's a club out there or look on the tinternety.
These cars usually get noticed for the first time when the new owner is all excited and gets in touch (and they are usually younger so go looking)
Then there's those that have had the car for a long time and even are still driving it and haven't got in touch...oh yea I get a few of those believe it or not.
Our records go back to the sixties and there's been a good few scrapped since then....and they don't get in touch to tell us either.
My guestimate is somewhere around 170 phase 1's and 2's and around 16 Warwick's (which is a very high number for such a low volume car)(40ish)
so there you go, feel any better? It's a struggle to keep records up as its only when someone wants something (usually for nothin!) that they get in touch
Nigel,
That's GREAT thanks. I want you to know that I appreciate you and your support of this group. Let me know if I can help you or the group on this side of the pond.
