Door Glass Weather Seals

I am actively pounding away at restoring the doors on Peerless 213.

I am looking for a source for the aluminum/rubber door glass trim strips.  These are the finishing pieces that run along the top of the door and contain a small rubber wiper.   Any hints would be most appreciated.

Thanks,

Dean

Hello Dean,

tumbleweed rolled past when I asked the same question a few years back. My search for similar aluminium extrusion waned a while ago. Although my old pieces will go again, the seal is poor regardless. I'm about to fit a new weatherstrip with superior sealing ability. I'll keep you posted.

All the best,

Gary

The last time this was raised I put some pictures here on flickr....

I have managed to resurrect the Warwick ones by prising them apart and replacing the rubber strip
and they are now pop-rivetted to the door frame.  The original screws had long rusted away.

If you didn't have anything I guess that a strip of plain 1.5mm ali and a rubber strip would be
indistinguishable from an original.  The little U shape channel is only a brave attempt to seat the seal
on the door top, and stop the rain getting under the ali strip.

Good luck!

F
