Wow! What memories! I did all the work myself. That was my first leather interior. I found an old retired guy in San Diego area that had worked in plastics his whole life and he made the taillight lens for me. I had one good of top and bottom and he matched them. I made small alterations here and there to improve factory design issues. I don't remember the overdrive even though I went through the transmission. It must have been added after I sold it, or my memory (where?) has failed. The interior shows a lot of wear. It was a fresh restoration inside and out when I sold it. I upgraded the TR3 suspension to TR4 which was a bolt-on big improvement for handling and alignment. I beefed up the doors so they were solid instead of the floppy factory originals. I broke the windshield while doing the bodywork. The glass was laying inside the car and I was walking around the car with an air hose and nozzle in my hand. My fingers must have pulled on the quick-release coupler because the air nozzle shot through the open window and hit the glass windshield and shattered it. I was sick. I covered up the car and didn't come back to it for about a year. I never thought I could find a replacement. This was pre-internet time. I looked at hundreds of other windshields with the intent of getting as close to the curvature as possible then cut the glass to fit and altering the body to match. Before doing that, somehow I came across a glass shop that had ordered rare glass before and when I asked if he had ever heard of a Peerless GT he asked me if I wanted Phase 1 or 2? He then asked for the car's serial number and shipped me an NOS windshield for $285.00 including shipping. Amazing!
