Door handles

Hi All,

I have secured a contact for new, re-manufactured door handles. I did advertise them in my registrar's reports in the TR Action mag sometime ago and had very little response.

they seem to be very good quality copies and come with the all important D-shaped rest/fixing.

so what do you get for your money:

1no handle

1no push button

1no D shape rest

locking - £53

non-locking - £51

for those of you that don't know or have a real basket case. the drivers door is a locking handle and the passengers is non-lockable (from the outside).

unfortunately at this present time my supplier is having difficulties obtaining new barrels for the locking part although this may be the only salvageable item from your existing handles.

if anyone know where I can get these from it would be good for us all!

as you will see the image below is of a lockable handle.

I will need to get an order together so if your interested then please leave your request on this thread.

Me please! Possibly both as I have 1 D bit missing and both are a bit shoddy. Ideally as per original. They look very nice, btw.

If the quality of the crome is high, I would like one of each. I won't be able to re-chrome my original ones for less here in Sweden.

I thought I had replied to this post but I don't see it. Will take a set for #155.  Greg

RE: Door handles

That's right Nigel, I'm opening my wallet and saying I'll take a pair of locking handles please. When you've recovered from that shock, let me know how to pay / delivery.

All the best,

Gary

Have I missed something on these?? Is there some progress I'm unaware of? I'd very much like a pair as per my earlier post.

Jeff from Australia has asked me where did the interior door handles derive from?

I would have thought Riley/Wolseley as per the locks but I've never really given it much thought as they are always around at Auto jumbles etc

Wilmot Bredon used to make everything back in the day and their now ( i think)  Weston Body Hardware

Woolies stock the door handles and pulls, don't forget the escutcheon plate.

Have never seen the interior widow handle and it's washer anywhere.

Think the escutcheon plate comes with the handle but is also available separately, Frank. At least mine did.

It should be noted that there is also (on ebay) Standard 10/15 interior handles but they're not the same T shape as the Peerless item. They'd probably work and certainly look the part but are presently only £15.00 each.

yea they are close enough if your tight on costs.

I'm still running Rover P4/5 exterior door handles as at the time you couldn't get the original ones and I was buying quite a lot from Weston Body Hardware and I kinda flush them through the business evileye

They are a very close fit to the originals so no holes to cut
