Just came back from a beautiful winter drive with my red Nr. 53 Peerless GT2. Pure and simple joy !!
Here is the point: If I ever loose my only set of ifgnition keys - I am screwed.
Does anyone know where I can get blanks? I am in New York and the local hardware store did not have any.
My ignition key is small - silver colored and is a "UNION" key (made in UK) and has the words "BREEDEN" and "WILMOT" with Nr. "FS917" stamped on reverse.
Hi The FS number is the key number. So becarefull as then any body can get one and take the car. This is all before todays security of codd keys. You will find many other people will have the same key. Here in the UK you can go the auto jumbles, classic car shows and find companies with the keys on a rack you just take one off the hook with your number and pay for it or they will take yours go in the back of there van and copy it or cut from the stock pattens thay have. I hope that sort it out.
hi gregor, having the same key can be fun sometimes, especially when FJ gets out of his tent in the morning to find his car is the only one facing the oppersite direction in the display
and you will find that the ignition barrel is warn and most of this type of key will work.
if you dont get anywhere soon I do have spares I could post and then you could send back the "dont fits"
