1959 Red Peerless Reg DOS 266

I was the proud owner of this car for about 18 months around 1970 ish! It was said to have been in the 1959 Car Show, but I had no proof of that. I fitted an overdrive gearbox from a TR3. It would be interesting to know if this car still exists?

Hi Gliderdancer

I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be along shortly but do you know the chassis number of your car, loads of the cars have had numberplate changes or been exported so this may help trace it.

If you have any photo's you can post that would be really interesting.

Regards

Joe

A good place to start is usually.

However this is not found in the database so it probably doesn't have a current V5.

Beware also of the many variations of Vhicle make , i.e.
Peerless/Peerless-GT/Peerless 2 Litre which will confuse the search.

This looks like one for Nigel.....

Hi Gliderdancer,
I demand curled up, slightly orangey photos with radius corners immediately!biggrin

I have no record of that registration in the files, so sorry, me no find it.

but please have a look for anything else that may help us. old photos are great, especially if there are other Peerli about as this sometimes sparks off memories for others.

Chassis number would be a really good start but not the sort of thing you rember after 30 years!no

Thanks guys, no chance of a chassis number. I'll have to search through the boxes in my loft and garage. Sure I did have a photo!!!!
